Welcome to Our School

 

St Philip Howard is pleasantly sited about 2 minutes' walk from Herne  Bay sea front and town centre ; it is also close to the Thanet Way which links to the M2. We have 112 pupils, aged from 4 to 11. They are currently in  classes of between 15 and 22 pupils per class. We have strong links with Our Lady of The Sacred Heart Church and are proud to be the parish school. 


Our school is a friendly place where people feel welcomed and cared for. A number of our parents were pupils here in the past and new children and parents from outside the area often comment on how quickly they feel part of the school community.

Our recent Ofsted in February 2009 higlighted the fact that parents are overwhelmingly supportive of the school; one comment, typical of many, was, 'It has been transformed'.

 

We teach in accordance with the National Curriculum and the teachings of the Catholic Church. We hope that our Christianity is reflected in the way we act towards other
